Issued by The National Weather Service
Cincinnati/Wilmington, OH
2:43 am EST, Tue., Feb. 16, 2010

… WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING… … WINTER STORM WARNING IS CANCELED…

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW… WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EST THIS EVENING.

THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELED.

OCCASIONAL SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT THE REGION THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE IN THE RANGE OF ONE TO TWO INCHES. IN ADDITION TO THE NEW SNOW… WEST WINDS WILL PICK UP DURING THE DAYTIME HOURS… LEADING TO BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE SNOW THAT HAS ALREADY FALLEN. WIND GUSTS IN THE 25-30 MPH RANGE WILL BE COMMON DURING THE LATE MORNING AND AFTERNOON HOURS.

THESE FACTORS WILL COMBINE TO KEEP TRAVEL CONDITIONS FROM IMPROVING MARKEDLY DURING THE DAY. WINDS AND SNOWFALL WILL TAPER OFF BY EARLY EVENING.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING… ESPECIALLY IN OPEN AREAS.
