Web Check:

Web Check is an innovative program developed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCI&I) is significantly lessening the chances that child molesters and felons can harm schoolchildren and other vulnerable citizens of Ohio.

Web Check is an Internet-based program for civilian background checks. Since 1993, the Ohio General Assembly has passed several state laws requiring background checks for certain occupations including individuals who work with children, elderly, and insurance agents. Web Check uses the Internet to electronically transfer fingerprints and other data from inquiring agencies to BCI&I. This information will be received by the required facility of the background check and tell if there is any criminal history found on the specific individual. All information will be sent through mail, no information will be sent over the Internet.

In order to receive a web check you must have an appointment. Monday thru Friday 8a.m. – 4p.m. are the available times and days for an appointment.
