Pickaway County Sheriff's Office

 

Administration:

The Administrative Division of the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office consists of supervisory personnel assigned to each division and the clerical staff of the Sheriff's Office. These supervisory personnel are responsible for all personnel matters (e.g. hiring, discipline, promotion review, divisional supervision.) This division is also responsible for fiscal, telecommunications, transcribing and computer processing of statements, technical services and reports, relating to investigations of accidents, offenses and incidents for release to the courts and public. This division receives and distributes all court documents and correspondence to the other divisions.

Admin Assistant:

Jack Middaugh started in 2005. Primary duties consist of processing sheriff sales photos, ANI, Accident, and Offense photos using our digital imaging database system. Jack also generates statistical reports on all activities from communications, civil, and records division. Jack also assist the Sheriff in meetings with other county offices.

Detective Secretary:

Linda Martin started in 2007 as Secretary for the Detective Bureau. She is responsible for clerical duties as it pertains documents, reports and statements for active case files of the Detective Bureau and reports for the prosecutor. She also answers and relays phone calls and information to the detectives. She also assists other clerical and administrative staff.

* Transcription of defendant and witness statements and interviews

* Transcription of additional narratives to offense and A&I reports

* Preparation of Grand Jury packet for the Prosecutor’s Office

* Answer and transferring phone calls to detectives

* Relaying weekly court schedules to Detectives

* Maintaining the Sheriff’s Notebook

* Distribution of faxes

* Assisting other clerical and administrative staff

Patrol Secretary:

Velma started in Pickaway County in 1992, she is responsible for all clerical duties as it pertains to operation of the Patrol divisions written reports, duty logs, arrests paperwork and tracking citations. She is also responsible for residential and business check lists and assists other administrative clerical staff.

Lt. Detective Dale Parish:

Lt. Dale E. Parish started serving in 1975 and is in charge of the Detective Bureau. He is responsible to monitor case progress and to keep Sheriff Radcliff appraised of new developments in all major cases. He handles cases of his own and assists in other cases and reviews all new reports filed. He is in charge of the evidence room and responsible to oversee the chain of custody on all physical evidence.

Lt. Robert Radcliff:

Lt. Robert Radcliff started serving in 1980 and is the Administrative Lt. of the office and overseas the day-to-day production of the office works. Lt. Radcliff is in charge of the bike patrol and motorcycle and utilize these special operations groups for special duty details.

Lt. Larry Mosley

Lt. Mosley started serving in 1992, he is currently the Jail Administrator for the Pickaway County Jail. He manages the jail as a “not so small” business, and reports directly to Sheriff Radcliff. Lt. Mosley has completed courses of basic correctional officer, basic police training, and most recently jail administration courses.

Lt. John Monce:

Lt. John Monce started serving in 2007, he is in charge of the Road Patrol and Communications division.

Receptionist:

Melissa Tootle & Joyce Davis are the Receptionist of the Administration building. They answer transfer business calls to the appropriate divisions. They handle walk-in visitors, and their requests. Melissa & Joyce also handle auto accident report records, assigning report numbers and forwarding reports on the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. They also handle requests for these type of records from the public, attorneys, and insurance companies.

Records Clerk:

Becky is supervisor in charge of records and clerical office staff. The records division is responsible for all official reports of the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office. Reports are filed in connection with crimes and non-criminal incidents. Patrol and Investigative officers file reports electronically from their laptops via wireless. Once filed, Becky reviews all reports to insure they comply with the State of Ohio Incident Based Reporting standards before they are committed to the computerized records management system. The work flow is completely electronic. Becky also responds to record requests for reports made by the public, insurance agencies, attorneys, courts, and other enforcement agencies. Becky also provides checks into our records for Ohio Victims of Crime and Federal NIC (National Instant Check) system, which is associated with firearms purchases.

Sheriff's Secretary:

Melody Green is the Sheriff’s Secretary. She manages his schedule calendar and takes care of his day to day correspondence. Melody also does payroll reports and payroll for all divisions at the Sheriff’s Office. She then files the reports and payroll with the Pickaway County Auditor. Melody also assists Lt. Radcliff with his appointment schedule.

Technology Administrator:

Matthew D. Parish started in 2005 and is in charge of the computer network and data processing at the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office. He is also responsible for maintaing day-to-day end user issues, current technology projects, and future technology projects.

The Technology Administration is a critical part of communications of individuals who work together to accomplish a specific goal. The goal is to demonstrate communication, organization, time efficiency, and advanced trouble-shooting methods with software, hardware, and networking equipment. Times have changed with technology in law enforcement and the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office is well advanced for present time and the future.

Warrants Clerk:

Dayna works in our records division and is specialized as our warrants clerk. She works with entering warrants into the Ohio and National systems. She also enters warrants and dispositions into our own records management system, and is a primary contact to questions that pertain to the civil division. Dayna works closely with Courts to validate warrants and assist other clerical staff.
